Labor Certification under PERM

Persons who wish to obtain lawful permanent residency based upon an employment-based sponsorship generally must first obtain labor certification. Historically, the labor certification process was lengthy and expensive. Effective March 28, 2005, a new, more efficient labor certification process became available. This new procedure is called "PERM" (Program Electronic Review Management).
